WAGS at Gilwell Park
for the
World Scout Jamboree Heads of Contingent Meeting
WAGS were asked to perform a 45 minute after dinner entertainment on the saturday night of the last Heads of Contingent meeting for the World Scout Jamboree. In 24 hours the Lid at Gilwell was turned from a drafty barn into a theatre. The 70 members of the cast performed a selection of items from previous shows and ended with a 10 minute long Rock n Roll item that had the whole audience on their feet. The representatives from Scout Organizations around the world could not believe that the show was performed by "ordinary" Scouts and Guides.
